Privacy Policy — Agentillo
Date: September 29, 2025
Summary
The Agentillo extension does not collect or send the contents of your files, texts, or clipboard. We only transmit anonymized technical telemetry and aggregated metrics (such as processed text sizes in characters and tokens) to maintain functionality and improve the product.
Categories of Data Processed
We describe data by categories, without listing specific events, fields, or codes. Categories may evolve as the product develops:
- Technical usage events: facts of interaction with the extension interface (e.g., project selection, file tree navigation, copy/write operations, opening separate windows, error reporting). The actual content of your data is not transmitted.
- Performance metrics: operation durations, sizes of processed texts (number of characters and tokens), technical error codes/messages without including user content.
- System information: extension version, technical details about the environment (browser/OS version), timestamps.
- Pseudonymous identifiers: temporary or persistent random identifiers (such as UUIDs), used to prevent duplicates, support diagnostics, and assess version stability. These identifiers are not linked to personal identity and are not used for profiling.
We do not collect or store: file/text/clipboard contents, file or folder paths/names, passwords, access tokens, browsing history, advertising IDs, or tracking cookies.
Purposes of Processing
- Maintain functionality and diagnose failures.
- Optimize performance and user experience.
- Ensure quality and security (including duplicate filtering and anomaly detection in telemetry).
Legal Basis
The processing of anonymized telemetry and technical metrics is based on legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): service stability and product improvement. We apply data minimization and do not use this data for marketing or profiling.
Pseudonymous Identifiers and User Control
Pseudonymous identifiers (including random UUIDs) cannot be used to establish your identity. You can reset a persistent identifier by removing and reinstalling the extension or clearing extension data in your browser. You may also delete or disable the extension at any time.
Disclosure and Processors
We do not share data with third parties for marketing purposes. For hosting and analytical processing, we may engage processors under Data Processing Agreements (DPAs). For cross-border transfers, appropriate safeguards are applied (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses under Art. 46 GDPR).
Data Retention
Raw technical events are retained for a limited period necessary for diagnostics and trend analysis, after which they are aggregated or deleted. No personal data is collected; user content is never stored.
Security
We apply technical and organizational safeguards (transport encryption, access control, administrative audit logs). While absolute internet security cannot be guaranteed, we strive to maintain a high level of protection.
Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Since we only process anonymized telemetry and not personal data, the exercise of some rights (such as rectification, portability, or targeted erasure of specific telemetry records) may be technically impossible, as records cannot be linked to an individual. However, you can:
- delete or disable the extension;
- reset pseudonymous identifiers by reinstalling the extension or clearing its data in your browser;
- contact us — we will review the request and apply feasible measures (accelerated aggregation/deletion, additional minimization) without deanonymizing telemetry.
To exercise your rights or submit data protection requests, contact us at the email address below. We may request technical details (timeframe, extension version) to correctly process your request.
Cookies and Website
This policy applies to the extension. The extension does not use cookies and does not require a consent banner. If you visit our website, a separate site policy applies; there, non-essential mechanisms (e.g., web analytics) are enabled only with explicit user consent.
